WLNS-TV is looking for a Special Projects Producer who can do the following:
- Put together local specials on a variety of topics. Most of this will involve taking content we already have and creating a special around it.
- Produce and create content for our digital channel, which we plan to launch in the second half of 2025. This could include working with others to put together a web-based show and/or live breaking news coverage.
- Serve as a fill in line producer who can help cover when other producers are out.

- Produces specials for broadcast across all platforms
- Writes and orders special stories
- Approves scripts
- Balances feature content to create compelling specials
- Edits video
- Writes stories for the website and other eMedia platforms
- Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Minimum two years’ experience in news operations (Depending on market size)
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work any shift
