Main characteristics being looked for in each role:
TV reporters: (M30s) and Maria (F30s), can have fun, energetic, charismatic, engaging delivery, with a side of casual and (F30s/40s), can deliver serious, dramatic and formal news report.
Other: Supervisor (M60+): strict, unwaiving, arrogant; Staff member / Army official (M40s): can deliver seemingly normal pieces of dialogue with a tone that indicates a darkness beneath / that he's preparing something / lying. Will pretend to be a staff member to test the main character.
Teens: Han (M16) and Kamira (F15) Middle eastern/ north african / Arab; for sibling roles: Can have a wide range of emotions; can deliver natural speech, joy, but also intense sorrow, anger or panic for dramatic scenes; softness, anxiousness, inner dialogue of analysing situations etc.
Young adult: Apollo (M19/20) Ethnically ambiguous/ undetermined atm: can have charismatic, cocky, but also serious and intense delivery.
Adults: Javier (M28) Latino: Can deliver complex layers of speech, for a character who tries to put on a "prick" facade. Kind of arrogant / nonchalent. But can also be deeply concerned, and loving; Abel (M40s): Charismatic, mysterious and "noble" (elite / almost from-the-past); can have an immersive delivery for key pieces of dialogue that will be revealing for the main character and the audience. Almost like a narrator type voice; Mr. Damier (M70s +): traditionnal and proper delivery for a Literrature teacher; but still with a softness / lack of severity. Will be opening up the school ceremony by reading a quote to the students and welcome the MC on stage.
Future characters: Since these could be recurring in the future, production will describe the requirements in the globality of the character, and not just the needs at the moment. Also, for some of those roles, they have a precise idea of the character's ethnicity and are looking for people who can honor this background by sharing it.
