The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Art Director, you will manage the creation, layout, and implementation of concepts for marketing, corporate, brand, advertising, and merchandising projects for online and broadcast. You will Art Direct the photography that will be incorporated into designed assets; photography is aligned to the business-provided list of selling features and strategies; photography should exceed QVC’s Brand guidelines for the appropriate product category. You will oversee necessary retouching and ensure successful execution of the concept by working on set and collaborating with the photographer and stylist. You’ll be one of the voices behind an unapologetically fun, engaging and original brand. You will work closely with our art and marketing teams - you’ll translate strategic concepts into effective messaging that resonates with shoppers and helps them discover what makes them happy. Your Impact
- Arrive at creative solutions that fulfills business need.
- Routinely conceptualize creative solutions that effectively communicate the strategic intent for each initiative within the assigned project(s).
- Meet with business partners to understand the goals of each assigned category and project.
- Review success metrics after projects are launched.
- Research assigned projects and brainstorms/ sketches/storyboards ideas.
- Participate in follow-up sessions to understand success metrics and whether or not the project achieved the desired goals.
- Write creative/on-brand copy for multiple platforms. (Think advertising, print, ecomm, external marketing and social. Maybe even TV.)
- Master and champion, the brand voice and style guidelines.
- Team up with art directors/graphic designers to wow shoppers with persuasive content that aligns with marketing goals and helps drive sales.
- Prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment and respond to feedback and/or changing deadlines as needed.
- Incorporate consumer insights and data to improve effectiveness.
- Proofread and self-edit copy for grammar, spelling, accuracy, and brand consistency.
- Stay on top of market trends and stay curious. We love to talk shop and share inspiration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners from teams such as creative operations, ecommerce, social and email marketing.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Graphic Design, Art or related field, or equivalent business experience.
- Experience: 3+ demonstrated experience working as a creative copywriter, art director, with experience that is a combination of the two strongly preferred.
- Strong and proven attention to detail.
- Understanding of best practices for digital and promotional copywriting.
- Please include writing samples that show off your ability to produce clear, concise, and clever copy.
