Playfly Sports is looking for a Director of Broadcast to join our team in Lincoln, NE.
The Director of Broadcasting position is a key component to the overall delivery of school sports content to university fans. Broadcast Director is responsible for coordinating, planning and supervising all aspects of University radio broadcasts and ancillary programming, podcasts, and online media components.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Provide play-by-play for the university’s football, or men’s basketball games, or baseball games both home and away
- Host radio coaches shows
- Host ancillary programming, including specialty shows and the university’s daily content shows including Sports Nightly Broadcasts
- Program broadcasts, format radio logs, and develop new content
- Develop and maintain community relations for the university’s athletic teams and host select university foundation events
- Engage in local and national media interviews to discuss and promote the university’s athletic programs
- Manage, support, and strengthen affiliate relations to spark new development and growth
- Other job-related duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of play-by-play experience at the NCAA Division I and/or professional sports level preferred
- Prior sports broadcasting experience
- Knowledge of the business components of the role
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with production and content creation equipment and services
Travel, Lifting, Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel to all away games for football or men’s basketball or baseball and other athletic department and university sports radio network events
