Who is Homefield? A part of Golden West Broadcasting, Homefield brings marketing and organizational development solutions to clients across Western Canada. At work we call ourselves designers, marketers, strategists, planners, coaches, producers, developers, and writers – just to name a few. But that’s really what each of us does. Who we are is a little simpler. We’re a group of supportive, driven, life-long learners of our craft who support the growth of our communities.
We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will help local businesses grow through holistic marketing services. We can connect your clients to everything from websites and digital ad campaigns to graphic design and third-party media buying. This role includes prospecting for new business, managing existing client relationships, and consulting with businesses to uncover ways Homefield can help them reach their goals.
What will you do?
- Identify potential business opportunities. You will develop new client relationships and look for opportunities to offer additional services to existing clients.
- Conduct Discovery Meetings to learn about the needs and goals of local businesses
- Present holistic marketing plans aligned with your clients’ needs.
- Coordinate fulfillment of your clients’ orders through our administrative, creative, and marketing teams.
- Manage existing client relationships, including presenting progress reports to ensure advertising and marketing campaigns reach their desired objective.
- Utilize sales planner tools to forecast your sales progress.
Who are you?
- You are driven by success and hungry to learn about ways to grow local businesses.
- You are growth-oriented and proactive, always looking for new opportunities.
- You are a team player, able to work with others to support your clients’ goals.
- You enjoy meeting new people, creating relationships wherever you go.
- You are tech savvy. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Teams, and sales planner tools is a strong asset.
- Marketing knowledge and experience in sales are assets.
What’s in it for you? Let’s get the obvious out of the way. You get to work with a fun, hard-working group who’s been known to have a laugh a time or two. But not only that:
- We act with integrity, innovation, and agility – and we strive to create an environment where you can do the same.
- We put a heavy focus on giving back to our communities – they are at the heart of everything we do.
- We offer regular coaching and ongoing development opportunities – we want you to be the best YOU can be.
- You’ll work in a caring environment where the health, safety, and well-being of our current and future team members is a priority.
- You’ll get paid salary plus extended health benefits, pension plan, and Employee Assistance Plan.
- You’ll get to relax and recover - three weeks’ paid vacation and ten paid sick days per year, with vacation increases based on tenure… and your birthday off!
Don’t meet every requirement? Studies show that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every qualification.
