An 11-year-old boy living in an isolated village in the arctic in the 1920s. He is the brother of our female protagonist, Hanai (16). He is a typical 11-year-old boy. He is adventurous, free-spirited, and a bit hard headed. He's spiritual, and he fully believes in his village's sacred spirits. He loves to play practical jokes on his sister Hanai, and he looks up to her immensely.
