The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Senior Manager of Regional Sales professional to partner closely with the Lead Regional National Sales Director in managing revenue for national accounts within an assigned region. This role will serve as a strategic liaison between advertising agencies, national brand advertisers, and local station leadership to oversee, forecast, and drive performance of Scripps products across individual markets and national platforms.
For this role, the Senior Manager of Regional Sales will need to be based in either Los Angeles, Chicago or Atlanta.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Grow national revenue for assigned region by developing relationships with national agencies, their clients, and national brand advertisers.
- Align national business efforts in collaboration with the sr. director of PFP sales and the lead regional national sales director to drive enterprise-wide national revenue growth across our local media stations in assigned region.
- Collaborate with national sales managers with responsibility for markets in assigned region and respond to clients availability rate requests keeping them informed of new products and market trends.
- Track sales activity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve regional goals.
- Work alongside corporate sales leadership to roll out revenue-generating products and services through national sales channels.
- Meet with agencies, clients and advertisers as well as attend industry events and conferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Up to 25% travel required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
- Generally, 8+ years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Expert knowledge of all facets of broadcast and digital media platform sales and marketing
- Strong business acumen especially with regard to advertising businesses and trends
- Ability to forecast sales pipeline
- Financial acumen to produce annual budgets, and manage expenses as they relate to National Sales
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and ability to promote and sell concepts to representatives, agencies and customers
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient in face-to-face sales, calling on national accounts and agencies
- Must have existing relationships with national advertisers and their agencies

COMPENSATION RANGE:
Annual Salary: $150,000.00 - 160000
Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in California.
