The Elizabethton River Riders are a summer collegiate baseball team in the Appalachian League located in Elizabethton, TN. The Appalachian League is a collegiate summer baseball league that operates in the Appalachian regions of Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina. Each team is operated similar to a professional minor league team, providing players an opportunity to play under the same conditions using wooden bats, minor league specification baseballs, experiencing overnight road trips, and playing nightly before thousands of fans. Designed for rising freshmen and sophomores, its season runs from June through July.
The Play by Play Broadcast Intern will be working hands on with the General Manager, Head Coach and marketing team on promoting the organization and its goals within the community. This will include broadcasting play by play via a live internet feed at all home games and live audio feed at all away games. This will also include pre & post-game interviews and write ups that will be published via our website.
Duties(include but are not limited to):
-Developing creative ideas to promote the brand through a live broadcast
-Creating in-between inning commercials and promotional ads
-Producing pre-game and post game media content
-Reading & researching all materials & resources

Schedule: Must be able to commit to 24 home games and 24 road games (full season)
Housing: Will be provided at ETSU
Start Date: June 1st
End Date: August 1st
Paid Internship: $1,200 per month
Meal Stipend: $20 per day for East Division trips only
Hotel Room: Will be provided for East Division trips
