Pamal Broadcasting is looking for a highly motivated Account Executive to sell media solutions to local businesses and advertising agencies from one of our 3 New York offices; Beacon, Port Chester, or Kingston by combining our digital services, broadcast properties and experiential events. (Radio stations WHUD-FM, WSPK-FM, WBPM-FM, WXPK-FM, WGHQ-FM, WBNR-AM, WLNA-AM)
The ideal candidate is an individual that can
- Sells on-air, digital and event advertising.
- Prospect, market, sell and service advertising to new businesses and build and maintain positive working relationships with existing clients.
- Achieves goals and budgets as set forth by Sales Manager.
- Arrange special programs /promotions to further promote clients and the cluster of stations.
- Attend all client functions that involve cluster of stations.
- Schedules sales calls and submits reports of sales activities.
- Keep up-to-date on cluster of station’s listener base, rates, personalities, and opportunities in order to better share opportunities with clients.
- Keep up-to-date on all digital tactics, capabilities, and rates to better serve our clientele.
- Identify prospective clients and compile information to fit their advertising needs.
- Ensure proper fulfillment of client advertising opportunities.
- Works with the finance team in order to ensure timely accounts receivable.
- Creates meaningful connections with at least 10 new prospects per week.
This is not a remote or work-from-home position.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, the candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written), possess strong presentation skills; have the ability to overcome objections and be a good listener. To be successful in this position, candidate must maintain an in-depth knowledge of our marketplace, including the competition. Professional appearance and demeanor are required.
- One to two years previous sales experience
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to think outside the box
- Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
