Position Overview
CUMULUS MEDIA | Dallas is looking for passionate, highly motivated part-time
News Anchor/Reporter to join our WBAP/KLIF team. Our ideal candidate should possess an extremely good work ethic, be a self-starter, and highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
This position has the potential to transition into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Write and voice news stories including outside of the newsroom
- Write news stories for the station websites
- Post new stories on social media
- Handles emergency news/weather in show; on call for weather disasters/breaking news
- Individual will perform various news duties as needed, with the potential of working overnight or early morning hours, and some anchoring as necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience in radio news or website journalism
- Familiarity with digital audio editing software required
- Experience with long-form, breaking, non-scripted, weather coverage is vital
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Great team player
