Position Summary: The Production Operator is responsible for operating various equipment to record live and taped programming for broadcast. This position is responsible for working in collaboration with the news, production, and engineering teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operates studio cameras during live and taped programming
- Confers with directors and other crew members to discuss sequences, desired effects, camera movements and lighting requirements
- Sets up and performs shots for broadcasts
- Sets up cameras and related equipment
- Operates Audio board for live and taped programming
- Operates Graphics system for live and taped programming
- Operates Teleprompter for live and taped programming
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills:
- Technical degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with broadcast-related equipment preferred
- Flexibility with shift

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Production Operators must be able to stand, sit, reach, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision and make decisions that impact the results of co-workers. Operators must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment or items weighing up to 25 pounds and must be able to stand for long periods of time. Operators must be able to work in a team environment.
