Job Summary: The Font and Magtech Support Administrator is a hybrid role responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for both font management systems and magazine publishing technologies. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support both design-focused and system-level issues in a publishing environment. The administrator will ensure seamless integration, functionality, and compliance of font systems while also managing the technical workflows and tools used in magazine production.
Font Administrator Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain font libraries across MacOS, Windows, and cloud environments.
- Deploy and integrate fonts using tools such as Adobe Cloud Fonts, Font Book and FontAgent.
- Ensure licensing compliance and user access for fonts.
- Collaborate across all departments — including Design, Editorial, Production, and Marketing.
- Oversee the procurement of fonts, including licensing and vendor negotiations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve font-related issues (e.g., missing fonts, font corruption).
- Assist users with font selection, installation, and best practices.
- Maintain documentation and logs related to font systems and issues.
- Respond promptly to tickets and resolve font-related requests efficiently.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to the appropriate support team.
- Communicate clearly with customers to provide updates and resolution timelines.
Magtech Administrator Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain relevant applications and plugins on macOS, Windows, and cloud-based systems.
- Install, configure, and support publishing applications like Woodwing Studio, Assets, Dalim, and editorial tools.
- Troubleshoot application related issues, including missing images, plugin error messages, and log error messages from workflow systems.
- Troubleshoot workflow system related issues, including reading technical log files and understanding system error messages.
- Respond promptly to tickets and resolve Magazine Technology support requests efficiently.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to the appropriate support team.
- Communicate clearly with customers to provide updates and resolution timelines.
- Maintain accurate logs of issues, solutions, and system updates.
- Diagnose and resolve support issues proactively.
- Assist non-technical users (e.g., designers, editorial teams) in troubleshooting errors.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, IT, Publishing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience: 2-4 years in a relevant role.
- Strong experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC).
- Good understanding of Windows & macOS.
- Good understanding of Active Directory & IT workflows.
- Familiarity with reporting and tracking issues in IT support tools.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and SAP Concur is desirable.
- Good Understanding of Woodwing Studio, Assets, Dalim, Studio Editorial.
- Excellent communication skills to assist non-technical users.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Working Hours: 6.30 PM – 3.30 AM IST
