The Analytics Representative position at Sony Music Entertainment is a part-time role (minimum 20 hours per week) within the Insights & Reporting team. The role involves generating analyses and audience insights for Sony Music's diverse roster of artists and labels. Responsibilities include utilizing internal and external analytics tools to support reporting and analyses for evaluating new releases, understanding artist audiences, and uncovering actionable insights to drive commercial strategies. The representative will leverage various research and social media analytics tools to analyze consumer behavior and sentiment among fans across genres and platforms. They will generate custom insights from multiple data sources to tell a holistic story about the artist’s fan-base and provide actionable recommendations. The role also requires performing deep dive research to understand the latest trends in the music industry to inform decision making. Candidates should be currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students with at least one year left in their academic program, have a strong work ethic, passion for music, interest in analytics and research, and proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and various analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Alteryx, Brandwatch, Looker, Tableau, R, Qualtrics).
