Radio One is looking for a Promotions Coordinator to join our Indianapolis team! As part of the Promotions team, you’ll coordinate, support, and execute a wide range of community events and promotions, while collaborating with multiple departments to help grow our brand and engage listeners.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate details and logistics for station events, including remotes, appearances, promotions, and community activities.
Assist with on-site execution of events, ensuring proper setup, photography, video capture, and giveaway distribution.
Collaborate with Sales, Programming, Digital, and Promotions teams to support promotional appearances and client events.
Prepare post-event recaps, including photos, video, and airchecks, for internal distribution.
Support Integrated Marketing Specialists by assisting with remote execution and client-related promotional activities.
Survey potential promotion and remote locations and prepare basic location assessments.
Schedule staff coverage for events, appearances, remotes, and concerts as needed.
Assist with scheduling on-air contesting, liners, and promotional spots.
Help develop and coordinate staff promotional ideas and provide feedback to the Promotions Director.
Maintain inventory of promotional items and keep storage areas organized.
Share regular updates on upcoming events and promotions with the Promotions Director and team.
Support weekly promotional meetings by taking notes and preparing materials.
Represent the company professionally at community and charitable events as needed.
Capture and organize event content (photos, videos) for use by the digital and social media teams.
Assist with social media activation and digital coverage before, during, and after events.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Flexible schedule, with the ability and willingness to work varied hours on the weekdays, and weekends
Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
Self-starter, with the ability to take and follow direction
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station’s clients and listeners
Can work well independently and as an integral part of the team
Ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift/move up to 50 lbs
Submit to a criminal background check
Legal right to work in the United States
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED. 1-2 years of Radio Promotions or relevant experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must have at least 2 years of driving experience.
