About the Role:
The Research and Consumers Insights Department of Corus Entertainment has an opening for an Audience Insights Analyst - Local Markets. In this role, you will be responsible for providing the local market cross-platform audience research, with a focus on broadcast assets in support of business planning and development. This role will be reporting directly to the Manager, Audience Insights - Local Markets and collaborating with the broader Audience Insights team, including the national, digital and audience segmentation teams
You will contribute by:
- Work with the Manager, Audience Insights - Local Markets in the preparation of audience-based research materials that support sales in revenue generation, following along with Corus sales strategy
- Utilize 3rd party databases (ie Numeris, Vividata, Radtracker, Spots) in the preparation of market profile and performance pieces and competitive monitoring
- Collaborate with broader Audience Insights Department in the preparation of cross platform audience-based sales collateral and external communications
- Prepare and provide insights into radio and linear TV audience data for internal stakeholders (ie marketing, publicity, programming) through regular reporting, with a focus on Global News
- Support the Manager, Audience Insights - Local Markets in the participation of larger scale research presentations and reporting, ensuring consistent look and messaging
Skills and experience you will bring:
- University or College degree in media, advertising or related program considered an asset
- 3+ years in media or advertising related background
- Experience working with 3rd party media databases such as Numeris, VAM, Vividata and affiliated software
- Skilled in Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to accurately analyze and interpret audience research data in a clear, concise manner, summarizing information for the end user
- Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills, with high attention to detail
