Lee Enterprises is looking for a qualified Auditor to join our Corporate Finance Team. The Internal Staff Auditor will participate in organizational audit projects, which may include financial, operational, compliance, or information technology audit programs.
Position Responsibilities
- Audits the organization's internal operations as directed by leadership.
- Documents and evaluates internal controls ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (including Sarbanes-Oxley) and identifies business risks.
- Reviews financial transactions or reports for accuracy.
- Recommends new or modified procedures that improve findings.
- Cooperates with independent auditors and provides data in support of external audits as needed.

- Requires strong organizational skills.
- Requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires strong analytical and accounting skills.
- Able to perform work under general supervision.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff or manager.
- Must possess a solid working knowledge of subject matter required for position.
- May provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
Education & Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent media company experience.
