Position Summary
This position, together with other team members, is responsible for performing tax accounting, tax reporting, and tax compliance for the NBA, WNBA, and G League. This position will also participate in various tax projects that support existing business operations and new business initiatives.
Major Responsibilities
- Prepare income tax provision calculations
- Prepare taxable income projections used for cash tax estimated payments
- Gather and organize information for US partnership and corporate income tax compliance workpapers
- Prepare and maintain relevant income tax workpaper documentation, including position memos
- Maintain intercompany transaction workpapers and legal entity structure charts
- Assist in the preparation of indirect tax returns globally, including accrual account reconciliations
- Coordinate timely income and indirect tax payments on and monthly and quarterly basis
- Coordinate tax registrations, annual state filings, and fee remittances for relevant group legal entities
- Support income and indirect tax audits as needed
- Participate in ad hoc tax projects and tax technical research
- Contribute towards Tax Dept. goals and finance OKRs annually
Required Education/Professional Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Master's degree is a plus
- Intention to pursue and obtain a CPA license
- 2 -3 years of relevant working experience in public accounting or private industry
Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient using MS Office
- Exposure to Alteryx or SAP a plus
Salary Range: $105,000 - $120,000
