Position Overview
Bonneville Seattle is looking for a motivated sponsorship and media salesperson to sell Mariners on Seattle Sports (KIRO AM). We are seeking someone who is passionate about generating and developing new business relationships with business leaders and selling integrated marketing solutions including digital media tactics to exceed revenue goals. As a Mariners Account Executive, you will work to meet and exceed assigned new business and renewal revenue goals in a manner that reflects the highest level of professional standards and skills while selling and servicing Bonneville Seattle Media Group’s accounts.
Note: Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.
- This position is primarily a remote role that requires the employee to regularly be able to attend weekly meetings at our Seattle site as well as entertain clients and prospects during and outside of regular work hours.
What You Will Do
Primary job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Meet and exceed individual quarterly and annual Mariners radio budgets by developing new business, securing transactional business and growing existing accounts all while solving client’s marketing needs with integrated programs.
- Generate new business through persistent focus on prospecting, new client development and strategic sourcing.
- Prospect and identify marketing revenue opportunities, create Mariners broadcast and digital sales packages, present to clients, and close the sale.
- Create fully integrated marketing campaigns to deliver strong ROI for clients utilizing both traditional radio and digital extension.
- Fully participate in CRM (Client Relationship Management) system.
- Participate in training to enhance professional skills and overall understanding of new and evolving media.
Skills And Experience We Are Looking For
- 1-4 years of outside sales preferred.
- Proven track record of success in hitting budgets/quotas in a sales role, particularly with direct, new business relationships.
- Ability to “hunt” – search for and develop new sponsorships in the broadcast and digital space and grow existing clients.
- Ability to work with moderate supervision, confidential information and be a self-starter.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically prospect new business, overcome objections, without hesitation to ask again.
- Ability and discipline to follow through to a Closed Won or Closed Lost outcome in addition to client onboarding, campaign fulfillment, recap and renewal.
- Passion for professional excellence and integrity with a positive attitude and outlook on the sales process.
- Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret statistical research and data to draw conclusions that support the marketing recommendation.
- Ability and willingness to resolve unexpected problems and be flexible to perform unscheduled assignments.
- A high level of proficiency with computers, software, and new technologies.
- Assist clients with creative copy and campaign strategy
- Highly familiar with the benefits and shortcomings of all types of media including, but not limited to “heritage” media, sports sponsorships, as well as all types of current and emerging social and digital media.
- Possess excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
Physical Demands
- Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate computer keys and general office equipment. Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record; proven ability to safely drive personal vehicle without exposing company to serious liability risks.
Compensation Range
$78,000 - $133,900, plus bonus potential. This range spans multiple levels of this role.
Salary rate will be determined by an evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal and external benchmarks.
