The A Side: A Day in The Life
Seeking a passionate, highly motivated, and experienced finance professional to join the UK Central Finance function.
The role will be wide and varied, a key part of the role will involve preparation of financial statements as well as dealing directly with both external and internal auditors. Alongside this you will be responsible for delivering month end reporting packages to the Group Finance Director and Corporate Finance team.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Key component of the UK Central Finance team. This role will include:
- Preparation of the financial statements for multiple legal entities.
- Lead contact on external audits, including leading discussions with auditors & providing relevant requested documents.
- Responsible for delivering monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations to the Group Finance Director.
- Working closely with the wider finance team, including an offshore based team.
- Perform internal controls and compliance review to ensure best practice and complying with Global procedures.
- Ad hoc work as required – providing support to the Group Finance Director.
Person Specification
- Qualified ACCA/ACA.
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting environment, including experience in a professional services firm.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, experience in preparing financial statements is desirable.
- VAT knowledge is desirable.
- Experience in leading teams and managing junior staff.
- Systems experience of SAP, HFM, Blackline and Metric-stream desirable.
- Ability to communicate and work at all levels with a large number of stakeholders i.e. junior staff to senior management.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, alongside strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
