Our character is a 13-year-old (mixed) Indian (Fijian) heritage, recently moved to New Zealand from Fiji.
We're looking for someone with a clear, thoughtful voice carrying quiet determination, naturally introspective but with sparks of sarcastic wit. Switches between teen uncertainty and growing confidence, speaking slightly more maturely for her age.
Ideally we are looking for a Kiwi or New Zealand resident or recent immigrant or someone who has spent some time in Fiji and New Zealand to be truly authentic. This role is the key protagonist in our story, representing a young immigrant from Fiji to New Zealand and we want to portray this as genuinely as possible.
The budget is a little flexible for the right person and while we are looking for a teen, an older woman with a suitable tone would work well.
