Our character is a 14-year-old Pakeha-Māori with complex cultural identity.
We're looking for someone with a sharp, guarded voice carrying a competitive edge, naturally defensive but with hints of underlying warmth breaking through.
Ideally we are looking for someone with Māori whakapapa or a Kiwi who has lived in New Zealand for a large portion of their life and identifies as Kiwi. We don't want someone who can just do a Kiwi accent but with no ties to NZ. This role represents the complexity of mixed heritage identity and we want to portray this as authentically as possible.
