Alpha Media is seeking an On-Air Talent/Morning Show Host in our Bethany, Missouri location. Do you have a strong background in live, local, and relevant radio? Do you enjoy being an active part of the community? Then we want to talk to you! We are looking for someone with a strong on-air background where duties will include on-air talent work, including hosting and producing a daily show, sports play-by-play, audio production, and website and social media updates. Knowledge of WordPress and video production is a plus.
Locally, Alpha Media operates radio stations KAAN-AM/FM, KKWK, and KMRN AM/FM as well as northwestmoinfo.com. We will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
Responsibilities of this position may include
- Daily morning show at 9:30 AM, Monday through Friday, of local content of importance to the area.
- Generating news stories daily.
- Daily funeral announcements.
- Sports Play-by-play.
- Daily production of commercial spots.
- Engage with listeners via social media.
- Broadcast live from remote locations and events.
- Operate the control console.
- Maintain affidavit compliance.
- Collaborate with the Sales Department for new and intriguing programming.
Requirements of this position include the following
- Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations.
- Proficient in the use of audio editing software and broadcast equipment.
- Must be available nights and weekends for Sports play-by-play.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to successfully execute station events and remotes.
- Able to relate to the audience and have a strong listener interaction.
- Public speaking skills and the ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting.
- Skilled in the operation of the control board, remote broadcasting, and other related production equipment.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a fully insured personal vehicle.
