Position Summary
The Executive Producer, A/V & Broadcast is the creative and technical lead for all Sacramento Kings home games and arena events at Golden 1 Center. This role is responsible for producing and directing high-impact, multi-platform game and event experiences through oversight of the video board show, control room operations, and internal/external broadcast integration.
This role leads a high-performing team, manages game day broadcast and technical operations, oversees content archival systems, and contributes to creative ideation for live programming. This role also contributes to broader entertainment productions hosted at the arena, including concerts, civic events, and national broadcasts, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and innovation across every production.

Key Responsibilities:
Game & Event Production
- Serve as lead board show director and technical producer for all Sacramento Kings home games and select arena events.
- Manage all aspects of in-venue control room operations, including multi-camera switching, replay, graphics, lighting, audio, and video playback.
- Actively participate in Run-of-Show production meetings to align all positions and technical crews for flawless execution.
- Collaborate closely with Game Entertainment, Creative, and Partnership departments to bring creative concepts to life.
Staff Leadership & Scheduling
- Lead and manage part-time and game-day technical staff (e.g., replay, graphics, expression operators).
- Hire, train, and oversee staff responsible for logging footage and managing archival content effectively.
- Support and guide control room staff to ensure smooth execution and strong communication during events.
- Collaborate with VP, Audio/Visual & Broadcast Production to coordinate crew scheduling and staffing for Kings games and arena events.
Creative Development & Content Integration
- Work with the Creative and Entertainment teams to support the development of intro videos, hype content, and fan-driven moments.
- Assist with fact-checking graphics and videos during post-production to ensure accuracy and brand alignment.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute to the evolution of the Kings’ in-arena visual identity.
Technical Systems & Innovation
- Manage the CatDV media asset management system and server for archival content.
- Proactively monitor and resolve technical faults, ensuring all cameras and equipment are functioning on game days.
- Stay current on new production technologies and help implement innovations that enhance the fan experience.
- Support lighting, audio, and video staff for live event execution and troubleshooting.
Broadcast Integration & Vendor Relations
- Represent Kings A/V on NBA and broadcast partner (NBC) calls as needed.
- Coordinate with national and regional broadcasters to align in-venue and broadcast timing/content.
- Manage production-related communications with third-party vendors and external production teams.
- Participate in in-house and on-location shoots as needed, including directing segments and managing content delivery.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience producing or directing live sports or entertainment events, preferably in a professional arena setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Proven experience directing board shows, managing control rooms, and collaborating with technical and creative teams.
- Strong understanding of video systems, camera equipment, broadcast workflows, and production technology.
- Experience with media asset management platforms (e.g., CatDV), scripting software, and show control systems.
- A collaborative, proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours as required.
Compensation:
The offer range for this full-time, exempt role is $120,000 - $150,000 + eligibility for annual discretionary bonus. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
