Job Overview
Provide leadership and coordination of the Company's financial planning, accounting and budget management functions, ensuring that accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles and corporate practices. Additional responsibilities for human resources in market.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides effective leadership to the Business and Traffic Departments.
- Oversees the daily operations of the finance department & traffic departments
- Directs and coordinates the Company's accounting and financial planning, budget management functions and human resources activities.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements, financial forecasts, annual budgets - analysis of company expenses and revenue to reach company goals
- Generate daily sales pacing projections
- Accounts payable approval - coding - processing in DocuPeak/NetSuites
- Oversee Accounts receivable procedures performed by Accounting Asst - including daily deposits, posting of payments to A/R system in Marketron, Credit card processing
- Maintenance of General Ledger system in NetSuite - including journal preparations, journal entries, journal approval and posting of journal batches, month end closing process
- Process and oversee all of payroll duties
- Monitor and enforce the application of a wide-range of administrative policies (both personnel-related and procedural) to keep station in compliance with external regulators and internal common sense including but not limited to FCC compliance, business ethics, employment practices, insurance policies, program agreements, etc. Ensure that policies and procedures are administered consistently and in compliance with applicable FCC, Federal, and State laws.
- Balance sheet account reconciliation, asset account reconciliations, capital expense reconciliations, fixed asset additions, disposals
- Cash management - credit approval
- Preparation of various financial reports and analysis for corporate
- Administrator - Marketron, Concur, ARC, LeaseQuery
- Maintenance of contracts
- Local Tax Filings - CAT Tax, Sales & Use Tax, OBWC
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance or Accounting, and CPA preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior level finance or accounting position, preferred.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Experience supervising and leading teams is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting.
- Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- Ability to work established schedule and other hours as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to manipulate computer keys and general office equipment (telephone, copier, calculator, etc.) for extended periods of time.
- Ability to hear and speak clearly and follow both oral and written direction.
