Who is Homefield? A part of Golden West Broadcasting, Homefield brings marketing and organizational development solutions to clients across Western Canada. At work we call ourselves designers, marketers, strategists, planners, coaches, producers, developers, and writers – just to name a few. But that’s really what each of us does. Who we are is a little simpler. We’re a group of supportive, driven, life-long learners of our craft who support the growth of our communities.
We are looking for a part-time Social Media Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Homefield Sales Manager, you will enhance our client’s online presence by creating engaging content, monitoring interactions, and analyzing performance to drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth.
What will you do?
- Draft and schedule social media posts across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn.) Ensure posts align with brand voice and style guide.
- Track performance metrics, compile regular reports, flag underperforming content, and suggest improvements.
- Monitor comments, messages, and mentions. Respond to basic inquiries or escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with designers, the marketing and teams. Attend team meetings and contribute ideas.
- Maintain scheduling tools and assist in planning and executing content calendars.
Who are you?
- You have a strong understanding of social media platforms, best practices, and current trends.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You have the ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- You have a creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools and social media management is an asset.
What’s in it for you? Let’s get the obvious out of the way. You get to work with a fun, hard-working group who’s been known to have a laugh a time or two. But not only that:
- We act with integrity, innovation, and agility – and we strive to create an environment where you can do the same.
- We put a heavy focus on giving back to our communities – they are at the heart of everything we do.
- You’ll work in a caring environment where the health, safety, and well-being of our current and future team members is a priority.
- Extended health and disability benefits, Employee Assistance Plan, paid vacation and sick days – and your birthday off!
Don’t meet every requirement? Studies show that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every qualification. Golden West is committed to providing a fair and equitable work environment and encourages applications from qualified women, men, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, and persons with disabilities.
