Responsibilities:
- Acquire new advertising through in person calls at new and current customer place of business to meet sales goals and objectives set by the company.
- Contact customers through face-to-face meetings at customer business to develop programs that assess advertising needs, set up advertising budget, advertising content, air date(s), calculate rates and quote them to customers for approval of sale.
- Assist customers in developing strategies concerning advertising air dates, how to best reach target customers relative to the type of media and the benefits of advertising.
- Meet in person at customer business to ensure their expectations have been met from recently aired advertising Deliver co-op statements, accurate invoices to customers.
- Collect payment of past dues advertising accounts; contact advertisers that have not paid for advertising and confirm when payment will be received.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure quality service and arrange promotional events like live radio remote.
- Attend electronic advertising sales meetings and training sessions.
- Write out advertising insertion orders; process sales progress reports as requested by supervisor.
- In person relationship building with clients is essential to this position and it is expected that the employee will use their vehicle to drive to each client’s place of business on a regular basis to maintain appropriate levels of customer service to their client.

Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two (2) year college or technical school; or six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic use of Microsoft Office Suite programs, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff.
