Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join our team. This role bridges technical expertise with sales strategy, supporting the full sales cycle from discovery to closing. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of technology and business, excels at problem-solving, and enjoys shaping complex solutions into clear, compelling stories for prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging technical presentations and demonstrations of BLOX products and services tailored to client needs.
- Partner with the sales team to respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical inquiries with timely, accurate, and persuasive responses.
- Conduct website reviews and technical assessments to identify opportunities for improved workflows and audience engagement for clients.
- Manage and update sales collateral in collaboration with the product team, leadership and marketing, ensuring all content is current and accurate.
- Support lead development activities, including research and outreach using Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo.
- Leverage Pardot and AI-driven tools to streamline proposal creation, automate workflows, and enhance productivity.
- Act as a subject matter expert on BLOX Digital’s solutions, providing guidance on product capabilities, integrations, and best practices.
- Collaborate across internal teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or a related role.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Working knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SaaS platforms.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Pardot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo.
- Familiarity with AI tools for sales enablement, research, and proposal generation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate across teams.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with newsroom and media workflows, including editorial, design, and digital publishing processes.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign or similar page-layout/design software.
- Knowledge of newspaper and media industry terminology and concepts.
- Background in SaaS sales, digital media, broadcasting, or publishing technology.
