GKB & ESPN West Palm Internship Program
Good Karma Brands & ESPN West Palm are currently recruiting college students for a paid internship. Spring, Summer and Fall opportunities available. Students can, but do not have to, receive college credit to participate in our internship program.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, interested in learning more about sports marketing, sales, events, and media, and who enjoys hands-on experiences in the areas of new business development, promotional event marketing and content creation.
GKB is a media and marketing company with expertise in leveraging the power of national and local sports and news to build brands and connect with fans through audio, video, digital and events. ESPN West Palm is a sports marketing entity with assets such as ESPN 106.3 FM and Deportes 760 AM. Expectations and responsibilities during the internship program include, but are not limited to:
- Positively contribute to the workplace environment
- Take initiative in learning all aspects of the business, ideally becoming competent in marketing and event execution, the GKB partner acquisition process and GKB’s content creation strategies and best practices (on-air and online)
- Adhere to GKB’s core values: Listen, Work Hard, Over Deliver, Follow Through, Be Honest & Teamwork
The internship will be split between on-site event activations and in-office hours. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ALL NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS. MUST BE IN OFFICE TO BE ELIGIBLE. THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL INTERNSHIP
Below you will find an example list of learning opportunities during the upcoming semester:
- Implementing on-site events
- Creating event recaps for partners
- Developing on-air scripts for hosts
- Designing graphics using a variety of mediums
- Developing strategies to bring fans and partners to events
- Editing audio and video
- Writing commercial copy
- Producing and board operating
- Creating sales and marketing materials
- Job shadowing
