Jed is veteran gold miner. His family's history made him pursue deep respect for hard work and perseverance. Mining is a serious matter to him. He is also a bit grumpy, but has a soft spot for his grandson, he wouldn't share his riches otherwise. He also wants his grandson to know how to mine and start a business, so he won't provide much equipment - mostly his knowledge and guidance.
