The leader of the group that invades the village towards the end of the film. Whilst his appearance is brief, his impact is paramount. Despite being a ruthless killer without limit on the battlefield, he is a man of his word and a fine leader who commands his men with the authority that Alfred gradually loses. An old nemesis of Alfred, he holds a mirror to his hypocrisy and reinforces the film's themes of grey morality.
