Position OverviewCUMULUS | WASHINGTON DC is looking for an experienced Operations Manager with multi-format experience to lead its DC cluster. Duties include direct oversight of programming for specific stations, promotions and management of Program Directors and possibly staff a live show in the cluster in addition to OM duties.
We would like to talk to all professionals with at least five years of experience as a PD with a winning ratings history. OM radio experience is highly desired. You must have the people skills to lead a programming team, but also have the technical savvy and attention to detail that allows you to keep the stations running with a high degree of precision. You must possess excellent oral and written communications skills, and a proven ability to collaborate with internal and external contacts. A track record of great collaboration with station management, sales and promotions is a must. We’re looking for a team builder and leader. If that’s you, let us know.
Key Responsibilities & QualificationsKey Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of Programming including:
- music scheduling
- coaching on-air staff
- station and AM/FM cluster strategy
- development of on-air/online promotions
- generating associated revenue
- oversight and content creation for digital extensions (including streams and websites)
- Have a strong customer service approach towards listeners, staff, & sales
Qualifications:
- Successful programming experience and winning track record backed by Nielsen Audio results
- Previous Program Director or programming management experience is highly desirable
- Savvy computer skills and proficiency with ratings, research, and music (Stratus) programs
- Proficient in digital audio editing and production using various software packages
- Must make station appearances at events/remotes and represent stations
- Be organized and able to create systems to accomplish an excellent on-air sound, limiting audio mistakes
- Ability to multi-task and the discipline to focus on what is the highest and best use of your time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with air staff and associated departments
- Strong leadership, coaching, prioritization, and execution
- Creative and strategic problem solve
- Work with station voiceover talent to create and produce station imaging and promos
- Work with station promotions director to maximize digital assets including websites, social media presence
Pay RangeUSD $150,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.
