About the Role:
The R1 On-Air Talent at Atlanta WHTA, ATL-4, serves as the primary voice and personality that connects with our diverse and dynamic audience. This role is pivotal in delivering engaging, entertaining, and informative content that resonates with listeners and enhances the station's brand identity. The On-Air Talent will craft and present live broadcasts, interviews, and special segments that maintain high listener engagement and drive audience growth. They will collaborate closely with the programming and production teams to ensure content quality and relevance while adapting to real-time feedback and trends. Ultimately, this position aims to build a loyal listener base and contribute significantly to the station's market presence and success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-3 Years of Commercial Broadcasting Experience
- Proven experience as an on-air radio personality or similar broadcasting role.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills with a clear, engaging voice.
- Ability to think quickly and adapt content spontaneously during live broadcasts.
- Familiarity with radio broadcasting equipment and software.
- Strong understanding of the target audience and radio market dynamics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or coursework in Communications, Broadcasting, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience with social media management and digital content creation.
- Knowledge of music trends and pop culture relevant to the station’s demographic.
- Ability to produce and edit audio content using industry-standard software.
- Previous experience working in a high-energy, fast-paced radio environment.
- Adobe Audition Experience for Commercial Production
Responsibilities:
- Host live radio shows, including music programming, interviews, and listener interactions, maintaining a vibrant and engaging on-air presence.
- Develop and prepare content that aligns with the station’s format and audience preferences, ensuring a consistent and appealing broadcast.
- Collaborate with producers, DJs, and other team members to coordinate show elements, promotions, and special events.
- Engage with listeners through social media platforms and live events to foster community and enhance audience loyalty.
- Monitor industry trends and audience feedback to continuously refine on-air style and content relevance.
- 1 Hour of Post Show Production Availability
