Job Details Job SummaryThe Assistant Athletic Director, Brand Management and Advertising is a strategic leader responsible for maintaining and elevating the visibility, reputation and brand identity of UTSA Athletics. Reporting to the Chief of Staff/Senior Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Initiatives and Brand Advancement and serving as a leader in the Rowdy Creative Agency, this administrator will oversee branding and advertising for UTSA Athletics and will work collaboratively with the fan engagement, creative services, broadcast, communications units.
Core Responsibilities- Maintains and elevates the UTSA Athletics brand, ensuring united and consistent usage of the brand through all external and internal communications and usages. Develops a comprehensive UTSA Athletics Brand and Style Guide.
- Develops and implements workflows, budgets and schedules for all UTSA Athletics creative and marketing projects using Wrike, the department's project management software.
- Develops and implements an integrated marketing strategy for UTSA Athletics and UTSA Football, designed to drive revenue, deepen engagement with alumni, families, donors and the local community. This position will work separately but collaboratively from the fan engagement unit, which focuses on sport-specific attendance efforts, game presentation, game environment and sponsor activation.
- Leads the strategy and manage all aspects traditional advertising, digital marketing and influencer marketing.
- Oversees the management, posting and content calendar of the UTSA Athletics departmental social media accounts @UTSAAthletics.
- Manages the UTSA Athletics Creative Studio Calendar, working within the Rowdy Creative Agency and with sport programs to maintain a calendar for studio shoots to include team content days, recruit shoots, special events and more.
- Provides leadership to the creative and marketing budgets, serving as the department's contact for procurement, invoicing and credit card reconciliation.
- Serves as the departmental administrator for the spirit program, including overseeing the Head Cheer Coach.
- Develops and disseminates agendas and meeting notes for the Rowdy Creative Agency Leadership meeting and the UTSA Athletics External Affairs meeting each week.
- Provides graphic design support for non-sport-specific content for UTSA Athletics, the Roadrunner Athletic Fund, the Ticket Office and UTSA Sports Properties.
- Produces graphic design elements for in-venue video boards at football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball and baseball.
- In coordination with the Assistant Director of Fan Engagement, assists with the creative and marketing planning of UTSA Athletics special events such as Let's Go 210 Day, the UTSA Athletics Hall of Fame, Football Fan Day, Signing Day and more.
- Works directly with UTSA Sports Properties / Playfly Sports to ensure the fulfillment of creative and social assets outlined in sponsorship contracts.
- Works collaboratively with PlayflyMax on revenue-sharing and NIL opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Two years (2) years of related work experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions- Office environment. Workdays, areas, and work hours may vary based on the needs of the department. Holidays, travel and early mornings required. Frequent evening and weekend hours required. Attendance at athletic competitions and department events.
Physical Demands- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
This position will work primarily
on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
