Job Summary/Description:
WWBT 12 On Your Side/WUPV CW Richmond is seeking a creative services producer to join the Creative Services team who has experience with news promotion and developing marketing content for broadcast and digital platforms. We turn dry research points into engaging, creative promos for the top-rated station in Richmond and win awards doing it. We work as a team, and we have each other’s backs. We live and breathe our “On Your Side” brand and want to make sure all of “RVA” knows it. Experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and strong writing, shooting, and editing skills are a must.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Write, shoot, and edit video content to promote our “12 On Your Side” brand, First Alert Weather, and CW Richmond.
* Write/Shoot/Edit public service announcements and event sponsorships, as needed
* Assist in station-sponsored events when needed
* Work with news and marketing teams to promote upcoming stories, specials, and special coverage as needed
* Create and post digital brand content to social media
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications (or similar), or equivalent work experience preferred
* 2+ years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to: Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop required
* 2+ years of video production experience, which includes an understanding of broadcast video and lighting
* A self-starter able to produce station promos from concept to completion - this includes writing scripts, shooting, editing, and production of graphics
* Drone experience/certification a plus
* Background in design and motion graphics is a bonus
* Ability to collaborate with multiple departments on project development and assist with other duties as assigned
* Strong communication and organizational skills
