The San Antonio Missions are looking to hire a seasonal voice for our team for Home/Travel Radio Broadcasts and Play by Play. This is a seasonal opportunity only, which will start in March and end in September. The role will require you to travel and live in market for the season. The team is paying a per diem and between $2,000-$2,200 a month for this role.
Duties:
- Provide live, accurate, and engaging play-by-play commentary during baseball games
- Describe game action clearly and in real time, including pitches, plays, substitutions, scoring, and situational context
- Collaborate with color commentators to ensure a smooth and professional broadcast
- Conduct pre-game preparation, including research on teams, players, statistics, storylines, and league context
- Participate in pre-game, in-game, and post-game segments as assigned
- Maintain broadcast pacing and professionalism during live events and unexpected delays
- Comply with all league, team, and broadcast standards, including content guidelines and on-air conduct expectations
- Represent the organization positively with fans, partners
- Handle all of the technical duties associated with live feeds when traveling remotely
- Engage in assigned media related work as defined by our management
To be considered for the position:
- You must be able to start on site in the role as of March 2026.
- You must have previous experience in baseball specifically.
- WE WILL DISQUALIFY ANY CANDIDATE THAT MAILS REELS, FLASH DRIVES OR TAPES TO OUR OFFICES DIRECTLY.
- You must have strong technical skill running live feeds, understanding of live social media posting, and be able to handle all technical aspects of setting up the broadcast when on travel with the team, as you will be alone handling these duties.
