Position Summary
Responsible for servicing delinquent accounts by responding to inbound SMS and emails. The goal is to communicate with delinquent customers in an effort to provide excellent service and account resolution while complying with internal & external policies and procedures using email and SMS messaging software systems. Must be willing to work with customers and solve any account issues that may arise. The Collections Communications Agent position is vital to loss mitigation and overall company performance.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Responds to delinquent customer inquiries using email and SMS messaging software systems.
- Confers with customers to provide excellent service.
- Ensures prompt and proper resolution of customer queries by providing answers, guidance, suggestions, negotiating for payment arrangements, or escalating/engaging key members of the organization to assist with solutions.
- Strong ability to multitask.
- Performs all responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stays up to date with best practices and recommends testing opportunities for email and SMS
- Document all communication with customers accurately in the system
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience
- 1 year of relevant dealer administration experience, auto finance or lending experience preferred.
Education Required
- High school diploma and or/GED
Skills Required
Language Skills: Able to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence such as email responses or summaries of reviewed work.
Reasoning Ability Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to interpret data and provide analysis to an audience in an easily understood format.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have beginner to intermediate MS Office skills in Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.

Location: Must live within a commutable distance of one of the following cities:
Dallas, TX; Houston, TX.
Qualifications Preferred
- Ability to interface work autonomously and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Prior experience in collections, customer service, or a related field preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
