It’s the sweetest time of year again here at Krispy Kreme! Our 10-week internship (May 26th – July 31st) is designed for students looking to make full use of their talents through hands–on work experience. You’ll tackle meaningful projects that leave a lasting impact on our organization. This paid internship is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to unleash their creativity, work in an amazing office in South End Charlotte and learn how we touch and enhance lives through the joy that is Krispy Kreme. A highlight of the summer is a sweet group project, where you’ll work with interns across departments to create your very own doughnut collection!
Since its founding in 1937, Krispy Kreme’s focus has remained the same - making fresh doughnuts using our founder’s original recipe. The brand’s iconic Hot Light lets consumers know when doughnuts are being made in the shop so they can stop in and enjoy them hot, right off the line.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP:
- Strategic Communication Execution: Contribute to the development and execution of integrated communication strategies that support business objectives across key audiences.
- Communications Calendar & Request Management: Support management of the corporate communications calendar, including intake and fulfillment of communication requests to ensure timely, coordinated messaging.
- Engagement & Measurement: Assist with tracking, analyzing, and reporting on communication effectiveness to inform and continuously improve communication strategy and execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to tailor messaging for targeted audiences and ensure alignment across initiatives.
- Internal Storytelling & Culture Building: Support storytelling initiatives that highlight strategic priorities, employee recognition, brand values, and company milestones.
- Brand & Content Consistency: Ensure all written, visual, and digital content adheres to Krispy Kreme’s brand standards and tone of voice.
POTENTIAL PROJECTS:
- Maintaining comms calendar and engagement tracking.
- Building and supporting a LinkedIn content calendar.
- Intranet refresh.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:
- Recent or current undergrad/grad students who have or will graduate between May 2025 - May 2027.
- Holds a recent degree or pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or similar areas of study.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Has intellectual curiosity, is passionate about learning, and ready to take on new opportunities.
- Strong communication skills (written & oral) with attention to detail.
- Ability to engage and work with cross-functional partners across the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, shift priorities, and work under tight timelines.
- Ability to efficiently work in an office environment.
- And of course, loves doughnuts!
