Role Summary
The PR & Corporate Communications Specialist will be a hands-on execution-focused contributor supporting CTW’s public relations and communications activities. This role will work closely with external PR consultants and internal stakeholders to execute media outreach, prepare content, and support brand-building initiatives.
CTW expects to hire two PR professionals at the same level or adjacent levels to support growing communications needs and to build sustainable in-house capability over time.
This role is execution-oriented and does not include people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Public Relations Execution
- Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, announcements, and corporate communications materials.
- Coordinate with external PR agencies on:
- Media outreach
- Press coverage tracking
- Campaign execution
- Support media inquiries by gathering information, preparing draft responses, and coordinating approvals.
Content & Brand Support
- Assist with corporate messaging across:
- Press releases
- Corporate website
- LinkedIn and other professional channels
- Support thought leadership initiatives, awards submissions, and event-related communications.
Media & Performance Tracking
- Track media coverage, sentiment, and key PR metrics.
- Prepare regular summaries and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Monitor industry, gaming, and anime-related media trends to identify PR opportunities.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with IR, legal, product, and marketing teams to ensure messaging consistency.
- Support compliance with public company communication standards and disclosure guidelines.
Ad-Hoc Support
- Assist with event logistics, conferences, and promotional activities.
- Support crisis or sensitive communications as needed under senior guidance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in PR, communications, media relations, or agency environments.
- Strong writing and editing skills in English; Japanese language skills are a plus.
- Experience drafting press releases and working with media or PR agencies.
- Familiarity with public company communications standards is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with media monitoring tools is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
