The Job
Are you a natural storyteller with a passion for food, entertainment, and iconic experiences? MGM Resorts International is looking for a Public Relations Manager to help shape the narrative of our world-renowned destinations. In this role, you’ll generate compelling media coverage across the Food and Beverage vertical, building relationships with top-tier journalists and bringing the MGM Resorts story to life.
The Day-to-day
- Cultivate and manage relationships with local, national, and international media to drive editorial coverage for MGM Resorts properties.
- Craft and pitch dynamic story angles that align with property priorities and trends across hospitality, entertainment, and lifestyle.
- Lead media activations, from press trips to photo shoots, film crews, media visits, and influencer experiences.
- Write and distribute press materials, media alerts, talking points, and executive interview prep documents.
- Represent the PR team in key property meetings, collaborating closely with marketing, social media, and operations teams.
- Oversee PR coordinators and specialists—mentoring, managing workloads, and supporting team development.
- Partner with internal teams and external agencies to deliver integrated campaigns that break through the noise.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of prior relevant experience
- 7+ years of experience in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or a related field
- Proven success leading high-impact PR campaigns and media events.
- Deep knowledge of the media landscape, with strong contacts across consumer, lifestyle, and entertainment media.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills—with the ability to turn complex information into engaging content.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with occasional early morning or weekend work.
- Familiarity with Las Vegas’ tourism and hospitality is a plus.
