Position Summary
The Coordinator will work collaboratively with other members of the PR & Communications team and the Business Development department to support the firm’s global PR strategy.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Draft various content, including external announcements and write-ups for the firm’s website.
- Field and research press inquiries.
- Monitor, compile and distribute to firm leadership news coverage of the firm.
- Develop media lists for distribution of firm news.
- Assist with media outreach around firm news.
- Distribute press releasees over wire services.
- Research opportunities for and facilitating placement of bylined articles.
- Coordinate article reprint process.
- Prepare reports of media relations activity.
- Assist with various other research projects.
- Ensure consistency with the firm’s brand and editorial guidelines across materials.
Qualifications/Position Requirements
- Exemplary writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Excellent judgment and discretion
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to form effective working relationships with individuals at all levels
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle and appropriately prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Self-starter with an excellent work ethic
Education And/or Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in PR/media relations/corporate communications. Law firm or other professional services firm preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, journalism, media/public relations, marketing or a related field
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $80,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
