Position: On Air Talent
Position Summary:
The On-Air Talent position is responsible for hosting and delivering engaging, entertaining, and professional on-air programming for KFWB. This role includes presenting music, interacting with listeners, conducting interviews, delivering station promotions, and representing the station’s brand across broadcast, digital, and live events. The On-Air Talent must maintain FCC compliance while creating compelling content that builds audience loyalty and supports station objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Host live and/or recorded on-air music programming in accordance with station format, brand, and programming guidelines.
Prepare, produce, and deliver engaging on-air breaks, including music introductions, commentary, promotions, and listener interaction.
Conduct interviews with artists, guests, and community figures as assigned.
Create content for broadcast, station website, and social media platforms to support audience engagement and station promotion.
Participate in station promotions, contests, appearances, and live remote broadcasts as required.
Screen phone calls, interact with listeners, and manage on-air audience participation.
Record and edit audio content, including promos, liners, and other station materials.
Collaborate with programming, promotions, and sales teams to support station initiatives.
Ensure all on-air content complies with FCC regulations and station policies.
Attend required meetings, rehearsals, and training sessions.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of professional on-air broadcasting experience preferred.
Strong vocal delivery, diction, and on-air presence required.
Spanish fluency required.
Familiarity with radio automation systems, production software, and broadcast equipment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think quickly, improvise, and engage a live audience.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, broadcasting, or a related field preferred.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.

Compensation
Annual Salary: $72,000 + incentives based on sales
This position is classified as full-time, exempt.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Primarily office and studio environment with some repetitive motion.
May require travel to station events, promotions, and remote broadcasts.
