The Role: Real-Time Coverage
You will monitor a fast-moving stream of press releases, websites, and data to identify and publish forward-looking details in
real time . Your work will evolve rapidly from quick-fire, market-moving headlines to punchy short stories and deeper thematic analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Real-Time Identification: Use exceptional news judgment to identify and prioritize news of importance to professionals from a wealth of available content.
- Rapid Analysis: Summarize complex corporate news into smart briefs and subsequent analysis of what the news means for investors.
- Global Collaboration: Work seamlessly with reporters and editors across Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal globally.
- Journalistic Integrity: Uphold Dow Jones standards and ethics while maintaining a well-honed sense of urgency and accuracy.
What You Bring
- Language: Professional fluency in both English and Japanese is essential for coverage of Japanese companies.
- Experience: 2–3 years of relevant journalism or financial markets experience.
- Skills: A strong grasp of corporate earnings statements, economic data, and financial regulation.
- Mindset: Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and remain calm under the pressure of a high-volume, real-time newsroom.
