About the Role & Team: TelevisaUnivision is the leading Spanish-language media company in the U.S., reaching millions of Hispanic Americans. We are seeking a TOC Operator with strong technical broadcast skills to support live and recorded news production within a fast-paced, news environment.
ABOUT YOU: You are a technically skilled broadcast professional who thrives under pressure, communicates effectively across teams, and adapts quickly to evolving technology. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality on-air content.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
• Oversees inbound feeds including preparation, routing, and recording (Microwave, Satellite, OTT, Telco, The SWITCH and cellular bonding systems such as LiveU)
• Monitor video and audio quality using waveform monitors, meters, and other test equipment
• Schedule, record, ingest, and transfer media content to on-air playout systems
• Troubleshoot incoming and outgoing signals and ensure recordings are completed according to daily schedules
• Execute TOC functions and RF operations, including Microwave and Satellite tuning
• Understanding of Basic File Transfer, simple in/ out video clipping and Digital Streaming technology
YOU HAVE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Technical school acceptable
- Minimum 3 years of broadcast/television production experience
- Strong understanding of control room operations within News Environment
- Proficiency with newsroom and production systems including Avid Media Composer, Media Central, iNews, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively with tight deadlines
- Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technology
- Process-driven, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with minimal supervision
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) competency preferred
- Must be willing to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA
- This position is part of the NABET bargaining unit.

Salary: This is a union position. Compensation is set in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The hourly rate for this position is $61.95 - $64.81 per hour, as established by the union contract.
