Overview:
The Fan Sports Network is looking for a full-time producer and update anchor to join the team and help create the best sports programming in Portland. The Fan is looking for team oriented applicants to work in middays Monday-Friday and additional dayparts throughout the year. Duties include board operation, on-air responsibilities, editing and production, and social media content creation.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs.
- Execute SportsCenter Updates twice per hour, highlighting the prominent sports stories of the day and sponsor reads.
- Follow all applicable laws and FCC regulations.
- Scheduling guests and live interviews.
- Researching broadcast topics.
- Assisting in the execution of on-air promotions.
- Providing creative input on broadcast elements.
- Contributing to social networking and website updates.
- Building and creating show opens and benchmarks.
- Produce show promos from highlights of each broadcast.
- Other duties as required by management.
- Generate topics that drive conversations and listenership
- Use video to help social promotion and digital content
Qualifications

More About You:
Required & Preferred:
- Be able to work mornings and afternoons..
- 1+ years’ experience preferred; adept at digital editing, board operating, recording, network and HTML/Digital web experience.
- Experience running a soundboard.
- Ability to read scripts and contribute on-air throughout the course of a broadcast.
- Experience using Adobe Suite editing applications like Audition and Premiere Pro.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- Must be computer literate; requires creative approach and ability to prioritize.
- Knowledge of the broadcast area and station demographics.
- An eye for content and the ability to communicate and distribute to necessary platforms/people.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Have a great attitude
