Audacy Buffalo - WGR SportsRadio 550 and NewsRadio 930 WBEN are seeking fill-in, part time hosts.
WGR SportsRadio 550, The Voice of the Fans and NewsRadio 930 WBEN Buffalo, Western New York’s trusted news and talk leader, are seeking energetic, engaging, and impactful Part-Time / Fill-In Show Hosts to join our Audacy Buffalo team.
As one of the region’s most respected stations, WBEN has built a legacy of delivering timely news, insightful commentary, and meaningful community conversation. If you have a sharp news sense, a dynamic personality, and a love for live radio, we’d love to hear your voice on NewsRadio 930 WBEN.
WGR SportsRadio 550 is a cornerstone of Buffalo’s sports culture, serving as a central voice, connecting fans across Western New York while fostering a strong sense of community through live coverage, local discussion, and shared passion for the Bills and Sabres.
The ideal candidate is a confident communicator with a strong on-air presence, quick thinking, and a passion for connecting with listeners on a local and national level. This role requires flexibility to fill in across various dayparts, contribute to show preparation, and maintain WBEN and WGR’s high standard of credibility and professionalism.
The anticipated starting salary range for New York-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $50.00/Hr..
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Create original content and performing live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
- Host live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
- Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality presence
- Protect the station’s FCC license
- Monitor the music and commercial logs for the airshift
- Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
- Operate the control board and perform production work
- Other duties as required by management
Qualifications
More About You:
- Candidates must exude personality and not be afraid to have strong opinions as well as possess the ability to entertain in person.
- This unique individual should possess a strong media background and have an interest in local, national and political news and topics of human interest.
Required & Preferred:
- Must be an excellent communicator with strong creative skills.
- Must have working knowledge of studio audio equipment necessary for on-air execution.
- Knowledge of the format and audience required.
