Talent Acquisition Partner – Sales
TEGNA is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to support sales recruitment across our organization. This role will focus on attracting and hiring top sales talent, including Account Executives and sales leadership roles, while partnering closely with business leaders to drive hiring outcomes.
This role can be based in any TEGNA market and operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office presence required three days per week.

Responsibilities
Own Sales Recruiting
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for sales roles, including Account Executives and sales leadership positions
- Manage multiple searches across markets with a focus on quality and speed
Partner with Hiring Leaders
- Work closely with sales leaders to understand hiring needs and align on candidate profiles
- Provide guidance on market conditions, compensation, and hiring strategy
Drive the Process
- Keep searches moving by managing timelines, follow-ups, and decision-making
- Ensure a strong and consistent candidate experience throughout
Build Pipelines
- Proactively source and build pipelines of qualified sales talent
- Leverage networks, tools, and creative strategies to find candidates
Influence Hiring Decisions
- Provide clear recommendations and insights based on candidate quality and market data
- Help hiring managers make informed, timely decisions
Support and Train Hiring Managers
- Guide hiring managers through the interview process
- Ensure consistent use of tools like Greenhouse, scorecards, and structured interviews
Track and Report
- Maintain accurate data in Greenhouse
- Share updates on pipeline health, time to fill, and hiring progress
Requirements
- 3–5 years of recruiting experience, with a strong focus on sales recruiting
- Experience hiring Account Executives or similar revenue-generating roles preferred
Sales Recruiting Expertise
- Understanding of sales profiles, compensation structures, and hiring challenges
- Ability to assess candidates for both performance and potential
Relationship Builder
- Strong ability to partner with hiring managers and build trust
- Comfortable influencing and pushing back when needed
Execution and Follow-Through
- Ability to manage multiple searches and keep things moving
- Strong organization and attention to detail
Sourcing Skills
- Experience building pipelines and engaging passive candidates
Communication
- Clear and confident communicator with candidates and stakeholders
Tools
- Experience with Greenhouse or similar ATS
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing tools
