We’re looking for a Weeknight Sports Storyteller who wants to do more than just read highlights. We want someone who can find the heart, the hustle, and the human stories that connect Grand Island, Hastings, and Kearney. What You'll Do:
- Own the stream: Develop and host regular streaming-first content, from weekly coaches' shows to deep-dive athlete profiles that live on our OTT and digital platforms.
- Uncover the "why": Go beyond the box score to find the unique, powerful stories of athletes and fans that make Central Nebraska sports a community staple.
- Anchor with energy: Deliver high-energy, authentic sports segments during our weeknight newscasts that feel like a conversation, not a lecture.
- Dominate social platforms: Create platform-specific content (TikTok, Reels, etc.) that engages local fans and families where they actually spend their time.
- Shoot & edit with style: Use your eye for visual storytelling to capture impactful video and craft sharp, fast-paced packages that pop on every screen.
- Build your brand: Embed yourself in the local sports scene, building the relationships that lead to exclusive stories and make you a "must-follow" for Central Nebraska fans.
- Innovate the game: Help us figure out how local sports fans use digital/social platforms and make the Local4 brand the ultimate destination for sports families.
