The Job
The Public Relations Coordinator position is an entry-level role to support PR for an iconic brand! This role will have a primary focus on supporting PR for our resorts.
THE STARTING RATE: $21.10/hour
The Day-to-day
- Assist with photo shoots, interviews, film shoots and radio remotes upon completion of shadowing period, some of which might require overnight hours.
- Write, maintain, and update press kit materials.
- Maintain and update online photo library, video library and press rooms for all Las Vegas properties.
- Assist with distribution of press materials to media; tracks and maintains media coverage; distribute coverage to properties; update media database and additional contact lists; and help qualify and fulfill media requests, which can include tours, basic film shoots, facilitation of interviews, etc.
- Update and maintain media lists across all media niches.
- Develop schedules and property facilitation for media programs to include familiarization trips, filming, photo shoot and media tours.
The Ideal Candidate
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
- 1+ years of prior relevant experience in public relations or in a media field required
- Bachelors degree in PR, Journalism, Comms, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of AP Style Writing preferred
- Basic understanding of News Cycles and Media Relations preferred
