As our Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll set the strategic direction for enterprise platforms, champion automation and modernization, and tackle complex infrastructure challenges head‑on. Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…
- Strategic Infrastructure Architecture & Implementation
- Provide technical leadership in designing, architecting, and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions across network, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud-based systems, and, telecommunications.
- Set the strategic direction for infrastructure architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term scalability.
- Lead complex integrations of emerging infrastructure technologies, ensuring optimized performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee technical infrastructure roadmaps, ensuring future readiness for growth and innovation.
- Automation & Innovation
- Lead enterprise automation initiatives leveraging scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Promote infrastructure-as-code adoption, reducing manual processes and improving operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies that advance infrastructure capabilities.
- Technical Leadership & Governance
- Define and enforce infrastructure standards, best practices, and governance models.
- Champion security, compliance, and operational excellence across all infrastructure components.
- Provide architectural reviews and approvals for all major infrastructure projects.
- System Oversight & Problem Resolution
- Lead the resolution of the most complex infrastructure incidents, including systemic performance issues, advanced security threats, and large-scale service disruptions.
- Anticipate and proactively mitigate risks through capacity planning, performance tuning, and business continuity strategies.
- Drive post-incident reviews and lead implementation of systemic improvements.
- Subject Matter Expertise
- Provide deep, authoritative knowledge in virtualization, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), networking, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), telecommunications, and security engineering.
- Guide organizational adoption of modern architectures such as microservices, hybrid cloud, and zero-trust security.
- Mentorship & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a mentor and technical guide to senior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Partner with product, security, and application teams to ensure infrastructure solutions support business needs.
- Lead technical reviews and contribute to organizational decision-making at the executive level.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Ensure comprehensive, enterprise-level documentation including architectural diagrams, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Drive the creation and continual improvement of internal knowledge bases and documentation portals.
- Establish documentation standards for consistency across the Infrastructure engineering teams.
- Professional Development & Industry Engagement

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving best practices.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, panels, and technical communities.
- Pursue and maintain advanced industry certifications to reinforce subject matter authority.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
