Your role
Radio-Canada Mauricie–Centre-du-Québec is seeking a videojournalist with sharp editorial judgment, a high degree of autonomy, and originality. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to uncover and tell original stories aligned with editorial priorities. She or he will produce field reports and pitch a range of content for digital platforms, which may also be adapted for radio and television as needed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for finding compelling, off-the-beaten-path stories within their assignment area, focusing on arts, culture, society, and community life.
The videojournalist will be based in Trois-Rivières and will report to Dominique Panebianco, Executive Editor (Delegated).
You must demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, rigor, and a high level of independence. You should have an excellent ability to make information accessible and easy to understand. You must be able to work effectively under pressure, conduct your own research, gather material, shape it, and present it confidently across multiple platforms. Guidance and supervision will be provided.
The work schedule is variable, and you must be able to travel throughout your coverage area.
All work must comply with CBC/Radio-Canada programming policies and journalistic standards and practices.
This role requires full-time on-site presence.
